More than 55 000 visitors, more than 6 200 exhibitors, half of visitors come to Dusseldorf from abroad.
The exhibition ProWein is unique all over the world. In no other event is the range so widely represented. At ProWein 2016 all wine-producing regions of the world gathered, including numerous market leaders from Europe and from other continents. The largest exponent of nations this year included: Italy (1,500), France (1,300), Germany (1,000), Spain (550), Austria (320), Portugal (300) and others (600). This exhibition attracted more than 55,000 professional visitors from all over the world, from 126 countries in Dusseldorf – an increase of 6% (2015: 52,000 professional visitors from 123 countries), the growth occurred mainly due to visits from Asia. In general, there is a tendency that ProWein primarily attracts decision-makers: more than 70% of visitors are managers of the top or middle level. The success of the exhibition was also highly appreciated: 50% of visitors confirmed that they had found new suppliers, and two thirds confirmed the receipt of useful information on trends and innovations. A little less than 96% said that they had fully achieved the goals of their visit to the exhibition. “The figures clearly show that ProWein is the most important business platform for the entire industry, and for large prize-winners of wine estates, ProWein has now become an absolute must for the event,” says Hans Werner Reinhard, Managing Director of the Messe Düsseldorf, summarizing the success of ProWein in 2016.
